August 2007: August is starting off with a bang! We saw a record 29 dogs in the Small Wonders Play Yard on August 2nd. They were so very cute -- there were Yorkies and Poodles and all manner of pups just about everywhere! Leanne had help from our California kin, Samantha, and Nicholas, who took them on a field trip out to the big dog yard while the large ones were napping. They had the most marvelous time exploring, chasing, digging, sniffing, and running through the sprinklers. Rough old life, huh?! We just have the very best time with the dogs. Yeah, it's not all glitter and glamour, what with the poop-scooping and pee-cleaning, and Cooper and Pudin' do throw up the occasional rock piles (gotta love them Labs!), but all in all, we'd rather be playing with puppies than pushing pencils. Now if it would only cool off a little, we'd be happier than a dog with a ten dollar bone... hey, we can do that!  -- Bev
